Desmond the Dragon happens to have Dyspraxia and sometimes falls over his wings. He gets embarrassed and turns purple. He is scared about meeting new friends because he thinks they will be scared of him.
The book uses the engaging animal characters within the story to explain how Dyspraxia may present and is designed to encourage children to be more inclusive in their play.
This book is also available in a set of 3 with our other story books and as part of our Inclusion Programme with accompanying resource book and CD-Rom.
Each book uses Widgit Symbols throughout to support understanding and to ensure the book is inclusive to all children.
